Odnoklassniki made a portrait of a mobile player

Odnoklassniki analyzed the audience of mobile players on the platform in 2021 and compiled a portrait of a Russian player, which is presented on the site with the results of the year of the social network in the “Games” section.

The monthly audience of mobile games in OK exceeded 13 million users. The average monthly audience grew by 8% over the year, and the number of daily players by 16.3%. 82% of mobile game users use Android devices.

The most active players on the platform are women – their share of the total number of mobile players is 65%, men – 35%. At the same time, the most active mobile players on the platform are users aged 25 to 50 (their share is 45% among women and 55% among men).

The top cities in Russia with the largest number of active mobile players in OK included Moscow, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Kazan.

According to OK, 30% of mobile players play 2-3 games at once, 14% manage to keep themselves busy in three games or more, and 56% prefer to play one game. At the same time, during the year, 65% of mobile players tried new games on the platform.

The social network also analyzed how long users began to actively play mobile games. Interestingly, in recent years, a significant part of OK gamers have gradually switched from desktop games to mobile ones. Of the current audience of mobile games, more than half of the players became interested in games more than five years ago (49.3% of the total share of the audience of mobile players), 12.3% of users play from three to five years, 20.1% from one to three years, and less than a year – 18.2% of users.

Most often, OK users play mobile games on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The most popular time for games during the day is in the evening from 19:00 to 21:00. OK also analyzed the spending of users on games per month — on average, 36% of mobile players from Russia spent more than 500 rubles per month on games in 2021.

The most popular genres in the mobile games segment in 2021 were adventure, match-3 and casual. At the same time, players from 18 to 35 years old prefer board games, while gamers from 35 to 50 years old prefer match-3 games, and users over 50 prefer casual games.

OK also found out which games were the most popular among users of the OK mobile gaming platform in 2021. The three most popular games were: Pirate’s Treasure, Kiss and Meet and Candy Valley.
